Quality, Health and Safety and the Environment have always been and remain an important part of our business and we have many initiatives ongoing that aim to make our working environments as safe as possible while also respecting the global environment.

Prevention of injury and ill health is at the core of Health & Safety, Imtech Traffic & Infra UK is committed to supporting its employees in case of injury to minimise downtime and enable our people to return to normal duties swiftly. In addition, we also look at and implement other processes in order to fully engage our employees in Health & Safety best practice:

Behaviour Based Safety is a new approach with a very basic principle - if we all have the right attitudes to Safety, we will behave accordingly.

‘Don't Walk By’ is another initiative geared towards empowering our employees to take ownership for health and safety matters and to encourage the reporting and correction of all incidents, near-misses and hazardous situations immediately.

Imtech Traffic & Infra has various certificates demonstrating our Health & Safety competencies including BS: OHSAS 18001 (across the UK business). This is in addition to the quality standard ISO 9001:2008 and environmental certification ISO 14001.
