Apprenticeships
Apprenticeship schemes have come back into the forefront as a means of developing talent and bringing people into industry; training new employees alongside experienced members of staff. The transport sector is no different to any other and Imtech Traffic & Infra supports this means of bringing practical skills and qualifications to the organisation. We launched the Imtech Traffic & Infra Apprenticeship Scheme in 2006; by ensuring our apprentices complete a structured programme of learning in the business, combined with college study to ONC level, we are creating ‘new generation’ engineers working across our UK business. During their apprenticeship, they all learn the various aspects of installation, maintenance and commissioning of Imtech Traffic & Infra’s diverse range of equipment.
Mentored by the Regional Operational teams, Human Resources and Operations Managers, some of the recent apprentices are now working in our Urban (traffic signals) business and in our NRTS (National Roads Telecommunications Services) team. We currently have a further group undergoing training and look forward to future intakes.
